Hi I'm Jill

I am a wife and mother. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I grew up in the church, attended college, married a wonderful man in the temple and now have three beautiful children. We recently moved to the east coast and absolutely love it here. My husband works in construction and I stay home with the kids. I love how green, beautiful, and family friendly it is where we live. I tried gardening for the first time and enjoyed it. I love to run and to just be outside. Although, I could do without all of those mosquitoes!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. My parents were wonderful examples and I really did experience a lot of joy growing up. I know that the joy I felt all pointed to the principles that I was taught to live by and saw my parents living everyday. The church really does provide a "plan of happiness" where we can live our lives with direction and purpose. The church is true and the principles taught are true. That is why you feel that peace and joy when you live its principles. I am so grateful to live at this time with the restored church here on the earth and with prophets and apostles who are lead and directed by our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to be able to raise my children with the same guiding principles. I want nothing more than for them to be happy, really happy in this life and I know that it is possible if the choose to follow our Savior's plan, His plan of eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

We receive callings in our church. Currently I serve the young women of our ward. I absolutely love my calling and truly love all of the girls that I serve. They all have such unique talents and personalities. They love to come together on Wednesday nights for activities. When you may be the only Mormon in your school, I think it is extra important to associate and see other young women who believe and are practicing the same principles that you are. I love to see their testimonies continually being strengthened. I feel a real responsibility to help these girls realize just how wonderful they really are, and more importantly how much our Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of them.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I am so grateful to say yes to this. I love my husband and children so much, I can't imagine not having that relationship forever. Families truly are eternal. Show more Show less
