Hi I'm Tyler Hastain

I am a man of many hobbies. A recent missionary. Im a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person who always likes to look at the positive side of things. I love meeting new people and love making friends. My most favorite things to do are my hobbies which include: soccer, tennis, water sports (wakeboarding, kneeboarding, skiing, tubing, and wakesurfing), restoring classic cars, hip hop dancing, and learning/writing music on my guitars. I am very musical. I play six instruments. They are the Oboe, Saxophone, Piano, Violin, Flute, and Guitar. Guitar is my favorite. In my spare time, I am probably hanging out with my friends, dancing, or working on my current classic, a 1965 Ford Ranchero. I have worked in construction for as long as I can remember. Until recently this is what I was doing. Now Im serving a full time mission for 2 years in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico. Learning spanish, serving the people, and bringing those who are ready to the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being Mormon. Not only because of its principles, but because of it's teachings of Christ. I believe in Christ, God, and The Holy Spirit who are all separate beings but one in purpose. Without these beings, life on this Earth would be obsolete and pathetic. I know Christ died for us and paid for our sins so that we may return to our father in heaven. That is the ultimate goal, to live for eternity in the presence of God. As I strive to do my best, continue through my trials and follow all of Gods commandments, I know he will strengthen me so that I may return to him someday after my work on this Earth is finished.

How I live my faith

In the church, my most recent calling was Young Single Adult Representative. Having this job meant that i was part of the planning/executing of all of the Young Single Adult activities from Baseball on Monday Nights to Beach trips on sunny days. Also, with this job I was to keep everyone informed and reminded of the upcoming activities. In my community, I participated in a lot of service projects. Whether they were Eagle Scout Projects or just service oriented tasks I was usually there. As I serve a mission in Mexico, I know that this principle is very important and I have learned growing up in the church.
