Hi I'm Sue

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife, mother, and teacher.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints going on 23 years. I grew up Lutheran in a loving home. When I was about 19, I was dating a guy who was a different religion. We wanted to find a religion that we both liked. As we were going through this process, an old friend from high school, returned home from his mission, and started talking to us about the church. The feeling that I received when we talked was an overwhelming sense of peace. The things that he was talking about almost seemed familiar, but I never heard them in this life. The Spirit was so strong, and I will never forget the way the Spirit told me the things he was saying were true. I read the Book of Mormon, went to church, and prayed for myself, and received an overpowering answer that this indeed was the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I always wondered why there were so many different churches in the world when there was only one true Savior. When I found this church, I realized that this church has everything that Christ's church had when he was on this earth. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and the church was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and testifies of Christ and supports the Bible. The power I feel when I read the Book of Mormon is real. It guides and helps me live a righteous life and helps me know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves me and helps me to know how to live my life to return back to them. The gospel has made my life full of joy even when things are hard because I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always here for me. I was the first member in my family, but within the past 10 years, my whole family has felt the truthfulness of the gospel and joined the church. I hope whoever reads this will search the gospel out for themselves and I know if you are truly seeking for the truth, the Holy Spirit will help you know that this church is the only true church of Jesus Christ on this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been without the church and I have lived with the church, and I can truly testify that life is a lot easier with the church. Not to say, that I don't have problems or trials, but it's easier to go through hard things when you know the truth that you are a child of God, and that he will be right there with you to help you endure the trials of this life. These trials that we face help refine us to be the people that God needs us to be. He will never forsake us.

How I live my faith

I serve as a family history consultant. I help others in my congregation to search their geneology and family history. I love to do my visiting teaching with women in my congregation. It's a chance to really get to visit others that I may not ordinarily talk to during the week. It's a great program to make sure everyone is loved.
