Hi I'm Esther

I'm a runner. I speak Polish. I'm a college graduate. I thrive on helping and serving others and...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love a lot of things...running, playing sports (soccer, ultimate frisbee, racquetball, swimming, rock climbing, hiking), dancing, singing, spending time with my family, being with friends, serving, experiencing new food, and watching a good movie:) I am currently working as an Orthodontic Assistant and love it. I graduated from BYU in Exercise Science and love anything medical. I am currently applying to PA school and hope to be able to pursuit that career in the future. I love and adore my family. I am single and enjoying it but hope to be able to have a family of my own one day:) Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is so important to me and I love sharing the joy and happiness it brings me with others. I was able to serve an LDS mission in Poland and it was an amazing experience for me to learn about their culture and to share the message of Christ and the Book of Mormon with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I want to be like Christ and follow Him. I am a mormon because it brings meaning and eternal happiness into to my life. I know that I lived before this life, that I have a purpose here, to be tried and tested, and that after this life I will live again with God and my family. Knowing about Christ and the fulness of his teachings makes me happy and want to share it with others. The earliest age we can be baptized is 8yrs old. We believe this is an individual choice. Some might say that we are blindly led to being baptized and we can't make that decision at such a young age...I disagree. I know that at a very early age I was aware of the decisions I made. I KNEW if something was right or wrong. I remember sitting in church when I was about 7 and listening to other members of the church bear testimony that they knew the church was true. I knew in my heart that what they were saying was right. I felt the spirit speak to me because of their words. The spirit is a feeling of peace, joy, comfort, and happiness. The spirit can speak to all of us if we are willing to open our hearts. The spirit is like feeling God's love. I know if we truly seek the Lord and guidance we will find it. I'm a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and know it is true. The Book of Mormon is scripture like the Bible and we study both hand in hand. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Just like there was scripture and prophets in Jerusalem and it's surrounding cities and countries there were prophets that lived on the American continent as well that were testifying of the coming of Christ and also wrote scripture. We have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know He is called of God. I know that if anyone reads the Book of Mormon and prays to know if it is true, "he (the Lord) will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost."

How I live my faith

I LOVE to serve...members in my ward, family, friends and those I don't know. I serve the members of my ward (those in our area that we attend church with each Sunday) and especially the sisters. My calling (assignment in a ward) is to watch over the sisters (we call the women sisters and men brothers) in the ward. I sometimes teach lessons about Faith, Repentance, Service, Jesus Christ (etc.) on Sunday in our women's meeting. I talk to or visit sisters weekly to check up on them and see how they are doing. I plan activities monthly for the sisters to mingle and get to know each other and to serve each other. Each sister is assigned to visit teach a couple other sisters in their ward. We do this to unite our ward and to serve and watch over others. When we go visit sisters we usually go in two and give a spiritual message to the sister we are visiting. We try to do this at least once a month but it is not only limited to that. The purpose is to help others know that they are loved and to help others come closer the Christ. Another way I live my faith is through prayer. Prayer is a huge part of my life. God has given us everything and one way I feel I can show my gratefulness is through praying to him and thanking him. Also I know that as I am concerned about others or maybe need help and guidance that I can pray to him for help for others or myself. I know that God works according to OUR faith. He knows our needs before we even get down on our knees to speak with him....he just wants us to show our Faith and ask. I love the Book of Mormon and Bible and read them daily. The scriptures help me in my decision making and guide me to do what is best for me and others. They teach me of Christ and how I should treat others and live my life. My day goes by much better when I read and pray to my Heavenly Father. He loves us and is aware of us. He knows our trials and wants to help us...we just need to be humble enough to realize that and turn to Him.
