Hi I'm Garrett Graham

I am a representative of Jesus Christ, I like to ride my bike in a suit, I am a brother, a son, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the mountains of California where I had no worries and I was a wild child. Then we moved to Texas and I lived my teenage years there and converted to being a proud Texan. I love the outdoors and the wind in my face. Biking is one of my new favorite things to do, especially while wearing my suit. I am into the old vintage, fat, polyester ties. Thunderstorms are one of my favorite things to watch because it shows the power of god in the world. I also like to go out and dance in the rain, drive through puddles, and get muddy. I love a good day’s hard working in the yard and getting sweaty and dirty from the work. I want to be a brain surgeon or something like that so that I can help people who struggle with this life. I love to serve others so that the world can become a better place.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked if it was His word. I got the answer that it was and it was such a strong impression that I cannot deny the feelings I felt. But even before that I had to find out if there really even was a god and if He loved me as a Heavenly Father. I went through my own conversion process and came to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ was right for me and that it would help me to return to my Heavenly Fathers presence.

How I live my faith

I have the great opportunity to be a missionary for the Mormon church. I am serving in Oregon where I can share my testimony with all that are willing to listen to the message I bear. I also get to ride my bike around in rain or shine to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Sometimes it is hard but whenever I think about stopping I think about how my Heavenly Father has blessed me throughout my life and I know that this is my chance to show Him my love and appreciation for all He has done for me. I love being a missionary and would not want to be anywhere else right now. Some people say that I am crazy and I have been brainwashed but I can promise you that I am completely aware of my surroundings and know what I am doing is right.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Garrett Graham
Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. He was a man. He was called of God to be a prophet in our day. Do we worship prophets in the Bible? No but we certainly are thankful for all that they did to further the work of God here on the Earth. We respect and are thankful for all that Joseph Smith did to further the work of God like the prophets of old. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Garrett Graham
God. How were prophets chosen in the Bible? God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Garrett Graham
We proselyte so that we can share the good news of Christ with the world. I have found so much joy and happiness in the gospel and I would feel horrible if I did not share it with others. Imagine you find an apple tree with large pieces of fruit on it and you are the only one who knows about it. Then you get this intense desire to share it with your family. It is very similar to why we share the gospel with others. Show more Show less
