Hi I'm Niki

I'm a stay at home mom with four kiddos, enjoying the adventure . And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a southern, mormon family. I love the vibrant green colors, blue skies and warm weather in the south. The sing-song southern drawl is music to my ears! A few things that I love to do are crafts, cooking, sewing, playing the piano, and gardening. I was sealed for time and for all eternity to my husband 17 yrs ago in the Washington D.C. Temple. We have been blessed to have 4 children. We have three girls and one boy. My husband and I decided early in our marriage that we would make the sacrifices needed so that I could stay home and raise our children. That has been a great blessing in our lives. I have enjoyed, so much, seeing our four children grow. They all have very cute personalities and are very active kids. They love to be outside and just really enjoy everything! Staying home has sometimes been difficult. Never ending laundry, meals to be cooked, house to clean, someones grumpy & kids needing to be at 4 different places at the same time! Still, I can't see myself doing anything else that would bless my life half as much. There are a lot of laughs, smiles, places to see and things to do together! Being together is important to us. Hiking, camping, exploring, walking, going to the park, visiting museums...anything we can do to be together is great! It strengthens our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. But, I have chosen on my own to be a member of this church. When I was younger I took to heart the promise in the Book of Mormon, that if I would pray with a sincere heart and ask Heavenly Father if this church was true, He would give me an answer. I did this. I recieved an answer that it was the true church of Christ. That I could find great happiness by living its doctrine. My life has not been one continual bed of roses. I have had my own trials just like any other person. Yet, I know that Heavenly Father hears my prayers. I know that He will help me find my way through any trial and even just through a busy day as a stay- at- home mom! I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that He felt the pain of our sins and sorrows and then died for us because He loves us. I know He is real. I know that He lives! When I take a step back and slow down during my hectic day, this knowledge and testimony makes a difference for me. It helps me focus on what is most important...my family. The Church of Jesus Christ offers the opportunity for families to be together forever. I love my family, and I definitely want to be with them forever!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a member of the Primary Presidency in my branch. This means that I teach the children of our branch. I play the piano while they sing. I also teach a group of little boys, 3-5, on Sundays. I am always amazed at how much they know at such a young age! I also work with our branch choir, and teach the Activity Day girls on Wednsday nights twice a month. The Activity Day girls are a group of girls, ages 8-12, who learn to live the gospel standards through faith promoting activites, fun crafts and projects! I am really busy! Being a mom and then having these other responsibilites at church can feel up my week! Even still, I wouldn't change it. Being busy at church balances my life and makes me feel happy!
