Hi I'm Sonny

I'm on a errand for the lord, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 21 years old. Born in the exotic islands of Indonesia, and raise in the concrete jungle of New York City. In my leisure time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, making new friends, watching movies, playing video games, eating variety types of foods, traveling, reviewing automobiles, analyzing the economy, participating outdoor recreational activities, and playing sports. I finished 1 year of college so far, majoring in Business Administration. I have dual careers goal of either building a company in the automobile industry or building a financial investment firm. However, I'm currently withholding my academic studies and my future careers pursuit. The reason is because I'm on the Lord's business, inviting all people to be partakers of salvation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a whole lot of reasons. I have been taught the gospel of Jesus Christ at a early age, and through out my years of learning, I have gained my own personal testimony. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is restored and that the Authority of God is available again on the Earth. As I apply the teachings of Jesus Christ and be obedient in following all the commandments, I feel the joy and the protection from our Heavenly Father. When I read the Book of Mormon, my mind and heart is filled with happiness and knowledge. As I study the scriptures and ponder the words, my virtue magnifies and my thoughts are purified. I recieve instant clarity as I intently read the Book of Mormon. I am extremely grateful that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is on the Earth once again.

How I live my faith

Living in a very dense populated city could be hard for anyone to keep all the commandments of Jesus Christ. But I know as I study the scriptures, and pray everyday, I can overcome any road blocks and obstacles that may arises. Attending church and partaking the sacrament is mandatory for me, just by my obedience and observing the sabbath day gives me the assurance that I can go through my week walking with faith in Christ. Everyday I'm learning Heaven. Having faith in Christ helps me understand and appreciate my Savior. As I journey this life with charity in my heart and virtue garnishing my thoughts, I developed a greater sense of joy and peace. My life that God has given me is very precious to me. I try my best to live a life like my Savior Jesus Christ. My life is to prepare to return back to Heavenly Father's presence in Heaven. I'm not earning heaven. I'm learning heaven. I'm preparing for it. I'm practicing for it. And my life is that time.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

The grace of Christ is sufficient, sufficient to cover our debt, sufficient to transform us, and sufficient to help us as long as that transformation process takes. The Book of Mormon teaches us to rely solely on “the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah” (2 Nephi 2:8). As we do, we do not discover as some Christians believe that Christ requires nothing of us. Rather, we discover the reason He requires so much and the strength to do all He asks (see Philippians 4:13). Grace is not the absence of God’s high expectations. Grace is the presence of God’s power (see Luke 1:37). Show more Show less
