Hi I'm Alyx

I'm a Wife, Student, Fulbright Scholar, and Exercise Freak. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am tall, have a wonderful husband, great family, and fabulous friends! I love cycling, exercising, eating ice cream, and having a good time! I speak German, I am ambitious, and I love Economics. I graduated in May of 2011 with Bachelor's degrees in German and Economics, and was granted a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in a German school from September of 2011 through June 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. There was a period in my life where I was inactive, and life wasn't that great. I thought I was having fun, but then I realized that I was getting nowhere in the eternal scheme of things. It was like a smack in the face. Around this time, I was in Germany doing an internship, and I was totally miserable - I didn't know anyone, was totally homesick, and was in a bad relationship. My mom so wise suggested finding a ward there and attending. Little by little I started to change my life. I became happier and happier, and after my life had taken a complete 180, I met my husband and was married in the temple. I have never been happier, and things have completely worked out. I know that the Lord has a plan for me, and I have complete faith that as we live the gospel and do what is right, everything will be OK.

How I live my faith

I go to institute a couple times a week, and it is my absolute FAVORITE! My calling right now is as a Primary teacher I teach the basic principles of the gospel to 5 year olds, and I love my kids to death. This summer my husband and I will get to work with the youth ages 14 - 18 as they go on a "trek" to re-enact the pioneers crossing the plains.
