Hi I'm Collin

I am a very ordinary guy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live on the West Coast of Canada with my wife. Together we raised six children and we are blessed to have fourteen grandchildren. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was twenty years old and it has blessed my life more than I could have known. I work as an accountant and run a small farm. Farming, heavy machinery and my family are what interest me the most.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by my girlfriend who later became my wife. She was interested in religion and was given a copy of the Book of Mormon by her mother. Though I attended church with her, I was wary of religion. In spite of my misgivings, I accepted an invitation to be taught by missionaries and was surprised to find that I believed their teachings. Through several special personal experiences I decided to be baptized because I developed my own heartfelt conviction that the Church is truly the restoration of the Gospel in the latter days. Since then I have tried to do my part and I am trying to be a disciple of Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as president of our stake, which is a collection of 8 congregations in our area. This involves lots of travel and is quite demanding - though it is equally rewarding. I very much enjoy being of service to others. It has been through trying to help people that I have come to feel acquainted with our Savior.
