Hi I'm Felica

I love to play volleyball, I love to read, I love math and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working on my secondary education degree. It has taken a little longer to complete than normal, but in December of 2012 I will graduate. Yay! I enjoy playing volleyball and softball. I also enjoying reading everything but textbooks.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church. After reading the Book of Mormon for the first time, I truly felt the love of God in my life. My best friend and her family are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints LDS. When we were in the sixth grade, she and her family introduced me to the church, but I never really understood the principles the teachers taught. Our senior year in high school, my mom was baptized, after being invited to take the first discussion with the missionaries at my best friend's house. Still I didn't understand, and didn't want the church in my life. After a rough year, I had moved to a new place and wasn't making friends, but I remembered something my mom and friend had told me. They said no matter where you go, you will always find a friend in the Church. So I decided, I would go and try to make friends at a single's branch. Before going in I told my mom that I would not be joining the Church, I just wanted to make friends. She was supportive, and let me do my own thing. After a Family Home Evening, at the Branch President's house, I was invited to take the first disscussion with the missionaries, and I reluctantly accepted. I thought I knew where my life was heading, I thought I knew what was best for me and being a member of the church was not it. However, after the missionaries gave me the first lesson, they challenged me to read in the Book of Mormon, and then pray to God to see if it were true. When I started reading, I knew that it was true. I knew that this is God's Church. I knew and I still know, that Jesus lives. I was baptized a few weeks later, by my best friend's Dad. I know that the day I decided to be baptized, was a big day for me. It was, without a doubt, the biggest decision I will ever have to make, and I am thankful and grateful that I made that decision.

How I live my faith

My calling in the Church is a teacher. I teach the women of my ward the principles of the Gospel. I enjoy this calling because it allows me to learn along with my friends.
