Hi I'm Terry

I'm a genealogist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother to 4 sons. We recently became 'empty nesters', which is a new transition in my life. I have 2 grandchildren and another on the way. Being a grandma is so much fun! I recently left the work force as a school secretary to pursue other personal interests. I love spending time with my family, reading, quilting, and genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the church shortly after they were married, so I was raised in the Mormon faith however, as my young adult years came I had questions about my own beliefs. I was actually 30 years old when I first read the Book of Mormon. I felt such a peace, and continue to feel that peace in my life as I reread it daily. Combined with the Old Testament, New Testament, and other scripture life makes sense and I understand the Lord's plan for us.

How I live my faith

I find it very rewarding serving in the women's organization in our ward. A ward is a congregation. I continually feel surrounded by friends, support and encouragement to be the best person I can be. Other opportunities in the community and church that I've enjoyed serving in over the years include working with youth groups and camps, Scouts, PTA, School Safety committees, 'Meals on Wheels' for senior citizens, participation in library story hours, and everything else that your kids get you involved with!
