Hi I'm Bob

I am an elementary school principal, director of Special Education, a dad, a grandpa, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being with my family. I love my job. I love going to work and I love coming home. I have an Associate Degree in Child Development and Family Relations. In 1978 I married my sweetheart and started my eternal family. With my wife’s encouragement I continued my education and received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Special Education. I became a teacher. While teaching children with special needs I returned to school and received a Masters Degree in educational administration. I currently serve as an elementary school principal and director of special education for my district. My wife and I were married in the Salt Lake temple. We have six children and ten grandchildren. I don’t know how we could be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. My ancestors were part of the Mormon pioneer trek moving out west. Though I come from Mormon heritage I needed to know for myself that the Church was true so I prayed for answers. My loving Father in Heaven answered my prayer and I know that His church is true. Being a Mormon is actually not easy but it is worth the effort it takes to have the blessings that come my way. I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I know His son, Jesus Christ died to save me from my sins. Because of what my Savior did for me I can live with Him and my family for eternity if I choose the right.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good citizen. I go to church. I have Family Home Evening. I read what the prophets have said. When I make mistakes I repent and try to be better. I try to show gratitude to my Heavenly Father for what He has given me.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Bob
You will be surprised how non-pushy they will be. They will give you an opportunity to ask any question you may have. They will tell you as much as you want to know. They will explain what Mormons believe and why we believe it. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Bob
There is a God. I am not smart enough to obtain the wonderful blessings I have on my own. The goodness of this world did not just happen. God directed His son, Jesus Christ to create this wonderful place for us. He has provided a plan for us to live in confidence on this earth and then for eternity with Him. I have no doubt that God is there and He loves me. I have asked Him and I feel the answers to my prayers. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Bob
Study it out in your mind and then pray. Ask your Father in Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true. He WILL answer your prayer. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

Bob
The Priesthood is the power of God that He has shared with His sons on earth. If we are willing and worthy and have been ordained by the laying on of hands we can act in His name to perform certain ordinances and bless the lives of others. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Bob
Mormons believe in prophets. We believe in the prophets of the Old Testament, the New Testament, the prophets in the Book of Mormon, and living prophets today. We love to hear and read what God says through His prophets. Show more Show less
