Hi I'm Tawnie!

I'm a Makeup Geek. I'm a Book Worm. I randomly burst out into song. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little more about me... I love to sing and have been since I was seven. I was raised in musical theater and have a passion for music. I love to cook, go bike riding on the beach, and read late into the night. I love Fashion, Interior Design and Makeup. I love crafting, sewing and I love anything Disney. I love to write, create and mostly DREAM!

Why I am a Mormon

Plain and simple...I couldn't live with out the Gospel. Through all my trials, I have always had peace and because of the Gospel, I am Happy. I am not talking about your favorite flavor ice-cream happy, your parents just gave you 100 bucks happy or you finally got your dream car happy, but ever-lasting happiness that doesn't change with the wind. Life isn't easy but having the gospel in my life, creating a relationship with my Heavenly Father and turning to Jesus Christ has eased that burden. I am Mormon because it gives me happiness.

How I live my faith

I was born into the church but choose to remain an active member. Being a young single adult, I attend a singles ward. I do my best to live as Jesus did, bringing charity, love and service to others. As well, I uphold the standards that have been instilled in me since I was a little girl. I choose to dress modestly and abstain from alcohol and drugs. I also choose to avoid watching rated R movies so my mind will stay clean from inappropriate and harmful images. As a member of the church of Jesus Christ we are given callings, to give of ourselves and to serve others. We are not paid for what we do but willing give, just as our leaders do. I am currently the music chairman and choir director for my ward, which means, I invite others to sing or perform musical numbers that will bring a reverent spirit to our meeting. I do my best to live a life that would please my Heavenly Father, I am not perfect but I am grateful for the atonement so that I may be forgiven of my transgressions and sins, so that I may move forward and progress in life, towards eternity.

Are Mormons Christians?

This question is so funny to me because, the correct title of our church is not Mormon but, The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Every aspect of our faith is Jesus Christ. Because we do not have a cross on our church, or wear them people believe that we are not Christian. We choose to not remember him of how he died, but of how he lives and does live his living example of Love, Kindness, Charity and Hope. He atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and was resurrected with a body of flesh and bones like us. I am grateful to remember Christ from his living example, amazing love and great sacrifice he gave to atone for my sins, so that I may live with Him and Heavenly Father again.  Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Because it is a Testament of Jesus Christ and Doctrine of God just as we believe The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. All my childhood I heard the stories of Moses, David and Goliath, Joseph and the Dreamcoat, Daniel and the Lions Den. I also personally believe how can you believe in Christ if you do not believe in his story and life, and that is in the Bible.  Show more Show less
