Hi I'm Jay Walker

I'm a civil engineer living in the Boise, Idaho area. I'm a Mormon and love it. Honest and ethical work is needed today.

About Me

I love life and enjoy being around people who love life.  I'm me, a husband and father. With a beautiful wife and children, I spend a majority of my time working and hobbying around them. Work as a Civil Engineer is demanding while I provide for their needs however, I have time to be active and enjoy hobbies for me and with the entire family. I enjoy the great outdoors through motorcycling, rafting, hiking, camping and fishing. I take interest and play many sports in my past time especially when I can involve my wife, a son or a daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it brings me the greatest joys and allows me the healthiest, happiest life! It leads me in being a good husband, father, employee, and citizen while serving others around me. It brings respect for me, my wife, my family and God. I can't think of a better way to live and accomplish my goals in life. I can't think of a better way to love and serve God and man building beautiful communities around me.

How I live my faith

As an Engineer, I have many opportunities to serve City and State agencies. I currently serve on planning and zoning commissions and transportation committees. I love to improve infrastructure and realize changse for the better. This attitude of improvement comes from service in my Faith. For many years, the Mormon Faith has provided opportunities and experiences through serving others of all ages. I worked with the youth, our future, for a number of years organizing scout trips and youth camps to help them set goals and achieve them. Meeting with parents and families is also one of my favorites to encourage them in unity to live in harmony and accomplish wonderful things as families. Life can be better for all of us as we lift each other through service - improving upon our surroundings, no matter how difficult they are at any given moment. Small, simple, organized and controlled efforts can go a long ways in building a brighter future with our faith and optimism. I believe creatively and realistically in not just the "can do" attitude but the "can do good" attitude in today's world. This world needs many creative, talented and good people. I employ mine for the building of good!

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jay Walker
The atonement forgives and enables. Jesus Christ did what he could only do in atoning for my sins. In that, he enabled me to traverse the most wonderful and difficult times of my life. I am saved after all I can do through and by Jesus Christ. God be thanked for this wonderful, sacrificial gift in my behalf. Show more Show less
