Hi I'm Crissy

I am a wife and a mother and a sister a grand - daughter and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an insurance agent, I have been in this field of work for a little bit over 15 years. I really enjoy photography or should I say taking pictures, scrapbooking and working on my family history. I am probably one of the most unorganized people anyone could ever know who REALLY loves organization. Doesn't make a lot of sense but that's ok.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up I had a friend who I never would have guessed was a member of the Church. Her family was not active. I was supposed to visit them one day and she said the missionaries are coming over, I was like "who"? She said, the missionaries from the Church and I asked her what Church are you talking about? She said The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you know the Mormons. I asked her why are they coming to your house? That's when she told me they were members of the Church but they didn't go very often anymore. I didn't get to meet the missionaries that day but I did meet them the next they time went to visit her family. That was one of the most exciting days of my life, they had answers to questions other people couldn't answer. But I didn't have the courage to ask them how in the world they both had the same first name "Elder". It was quite some time before I even admitted to my friend I thought that was their first names. The missionaries asked me if I would like to take the discussions and I was hesitant because I wasn't sure how my family would feel. It didn't take long and I was taking the lessons from the missionaries and joined the Church. When I was taking the lessons and the missionaries came to the Law of Chasity and the Word of Wisdom I knew this was where I needed to be. I was a teenager and I didn't go out very often because I didn't want peer pressure. So these 2 lessons fit right in, I knew I would be able to be around other teenagers who felt the same way I did. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The feeling I get when the Holy Ghost confirms to me what I should do and what is right, this is truly amazing. The world in which we live has been created by our Maker and no detail has been left out. I am greatful for this. I leave this with you in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a den leader for the cub scouts in my ward. I like to attend Church on Sunday's and hear the talks during our Sacrament meeting and listen to the teachers for our Sunday school classes. I like to have discussions about the Gospel with other members of the Church, we learn so much from one another. Just like any other good person I try to do what is right and treat other people the way I would like be treated. I remember that Jesus died for my sins so I can be forgiven when I fall short but I try not to think about it like that because I don't like to think I am taking advantage of his love.
