Hi I'm Sherylee

I'm a middle child, I love Peanut Butter more than I should, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I get excited about beautiful flowers and brand-new sharpies. I have middle-child-sydrome and find solace in the great outdoors. I am a recovering nail biter. I am not amazingly skilled in any one field, but mediocre in many.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many things that scream for our attention. Most of them are not worth our time, but many bring us happiness. Sometimes I fall victim to following the world, but I have come to know, through trial and error, that lasting happiness is found through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the pages of the Book of Mormon, as well as the Holy Bible. I know the gospel contained in both books are a witness to my heart that God lives and loves us. I often feel to "sing the song of redeeming love" when I saturate myself in the teachings found therein. I am a Mormon, because I have found, through much earnest seeking, study and prayer a very firm knowledge of God's plan for me.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary in the foriegn reaches of Oregon. I feel the influence of God and his matchless power on a daily basis. My knowledge, skills, and abilities cannot be compared with the assistance I have received as a full-time missionary. I live my faith by sharing the happiness I have received with all those I come in contact with.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Why, we will talk about Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. We will help you strengthen your love and relationship with Jesus Christ and help you make changes so that you will feel you are following Him even more closely. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men.." We know that when we live the commandments of God, which includes a high moral code of conduct for lack of a better phrase, we can be instructed sufficiently by His Holy Spirit. When we are close to him and receive this direction we can find lasting joy and happiness. We beleive in hard work. We try and keep our thoughts, words, and actions in check. We serve our fellow men. We keep our bodies clean by not partaking of harmful substances. We have camp-outs and potlucks. We spend time with our families because they are important to us. We read the holy scriptures and pray often. Some of us sing in the shower. Show more Show less
