Hi I'm Lynda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom and a grandmother of nine. I love to be outdoors reading, relaxing, walking or hiking but not doing yard work or camping. I am a CPA and have worked for many years in the finance and accounting fields including teaching finance and accounting as an adjunct faculty member. Because we moved often, each of my children were born in different states. I became a single mom when my children were from 4 to 17 in age and have experienced the joys and heartaches of that particular role.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ speaks to my soul. Knowing that life began before we came to this earth and continues on afterward is both comforting and hopeful. Understanding that families can be united as families for all eternity is a teaching that warms my heart. I have had many experiences that prove to me that God knows and cares for me not in general terms but as a real individual. He has answered my prayers and comforted me through difficult times. I am so grateful for a Savior who loved me enough to pay the price that will redeem my soul if I repent and continue to strive to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday in all of the ordinary life events. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ is a way of life which gives me great joy. It helps me to keep focused on the truly important things in life, like family and relationships. Although I have held many different positions over the years including in Relief Society (the women's organization), Primary, and Sunday School, of my favorite callings is teaching the adults Gospel Doctrine. Teaching this class gives me an opportunity to study intently to prepare the lessons which helps with my understanding and growth and hopefully, helps the students increase their understanding as well.
