Hi I'm Mark Richards

I have a beautiful family. I work for Hewlett Packard in marketing. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 26 years and am blessed with 4 beautiful children. I love all kinds of outdoor activities and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for two reasons. One, my family has been in the church for 7 generations. Second, and the main reason, is because I have studied it out in my mind and in my heart and have prayed with faith and sincerity that I might know for myself if this is indeed the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ once again restored to the earth, and I have been told with no uncertainty by the Holy Ghost that it is true. I have repeatedly throughout my life felt the confirmation of the Spirit in my heart, sometimes subtly and sometimes very powerfully, that the gospel is true. My life has been richly blessed and filled with purpose by having a knowledge of where I came from, why I am here on earth, and where I hope to go after this life. I am gratefully sealed to my wife for time and all eternity by the proper authority of God in the temple and look forward to my family relations forever if I live worthy. I am grateful for a living prophet on the earth and twelve Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ who are guided by our Savior and who provide us with the guidance and counsel we need to help us navigate through the turmoil and difficulties that sourround us. I know that God loves me and all His children and wants us to be happy and I have found that happiness and strength to face life's challenges through the Church of Jesus Christ and the fullness of His gospel. You too can find that joy and happiness of which I speak. God loves you!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as our Ward Mission Leader and I love it. That means I get to lead the efforts of coordinating the work of teaching people who want to know more about the church with the full time missionaries. As members, we are all missionaries and desire with all our hearts to share the great "treasure" that brings us such great joy and purpose. But it is the responsibility of the full-time missionaries to teach the people and give them the information they need to make a decision for themselves. The beauty of it is that no one has to depend on any other to know if something so important is true. A knowledge of the truth comes directly from Heavenly Father througth the power of the Holy Ghost who bears witness of all truth. We just help people with the information they need to find out for themselves.
