Hi I'm Kristen

I'm a Mormon. I have a teaching degree in Elementary Education, I am a wife and mother of 3.

About Me

I joined the church when I was 23 years old and had moved out to Las Vegas for my first teaching job. I am now a mother of 3 and a Stay At Home Mom. I try to substitute teach once a week or so because I still love teaching and I feel like I still get to dabble a little in teaching by staying active as a substitute teacher. I enjoy taking classes at the gym like kickboxing and strictly strength. My girls are busy with soccer and keeping up with their friends, so I often find myself taxing them around. I am the only member in my family that has joined the church although my entire family is very supportive of my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

After searching for 3 years during college and attending many other churches, I knew from the first time I attended sacrament that this was what I was looking for. My friend was giving a talk on Modern Day Prophets and it was something that I had been searching for. I wanted to join a church that encouraged its members to read the scriptures daily and one that fostered family relationships beyond the grave.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon is a way of life for my family. We center our lives on the teachings of the church. It isn’t something that we do just on Sundays. It is a way of living by what you believe. I love when my family prays together and sits down to read the scriptures together. I love it when my daughters ask for priesthood blessings and believe in the power of the priesthood. I love that my one year old is already learning to pray and believe that Heavenly Father answers our prayers and that Jesus Christ lives.
