Hi I'm Neil "Andy" Anderson

I'm a RM, I'm an artist, I'm a total nerd, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Lets see DC or Marvel? now thats the question. I like to read comic books, play video games, go to movies, go camping or hiking. If it's at all related with Star Wars I'm all over it. I enjoy drawing stuff mostly comic book related things. I'm just your all around total nerd. I plan to start colledge soon.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into the church but when I got into my teenage years I got involved with the wrong crowd and started messing with stuff I shouldn't have. We moved after I graduated from High School to Riverton Utah and a very inspired bishop was able to help me get out of the "mess" I had gotten myself into. He also helped prepar me for a full time mission which I have just recently now returned from. I have now recieved the witness for myself that the church is true. To put it simple I'm a Mormon because God has witnessed to me that the Book of mormon is true and simple logic dictates that if the book is true it's translator had to be a prophet and if Joseph Smith was a prophet then that means that the church he "founded/restored" is God's only true church on the face of the whole earth and that it's lead by a prophet of God today.

How I live my faith

i live my faith by continuing to become. I'm not perfect, but I'm working on it. By taking the sacrament worthly on Sundays I'm able to recieve the strength to be who I'm supposed to be. I'm a work in progress, but I rely on Jesus Christ to make up the differnce by working at it one day at a time.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Neil "Andy" Anderson
We all sin in life. Sin is an action, deed, or even a thought that is not in harmony with, but is opposed to the Lord and His will for us. By suffering in the garden of gethsemany and then suffering death on the cross, Jesus Christ paid the price of our sins. Through Him we can be forgiven of all our mistakes in life. What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Neil "Andy" Anderson
A way I once heard it put was Grace is getting a reward you don't deserve and mercy is not getting punished when you do deserve it. We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ, after all that we can do. In other words though Christ paid the price of our sins we still need to do some things like be baptised by proper authority for example. The Book of James in the New Testament talks quite a lot about it. "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone...For as the body without the spirit is dead, even so faith without works is dead also." James chapter 2 verses 14-18, & 26 Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Neil "Andy" Anderson
If you had something that was way awsome and had blessed your life expenentually you would want to share it with others. It's the same for us with the church, the church has blessed us beyond messure and brought us great happyness in life and so we desiger that everyone else have the opportunity to have the same blessings and happyness in life. Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Neil "Andy" Anderson
An analigy that I like to use is this. If your driving down the road at night going 10mph over the spead limit and you see red and blue lights in your rear view mirror use pull over because the officer has the authority to give speeding tickets, but if your speeding down the road and you hear the ice cream man music and he flashes his lights at you, you don't pull over because he doesn't have the authority to give out speeding tickets. It's the same for baptisim or any other ordinance. If it's not done by someone with the proper authority it doesn't count in the sight of God. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Neil "Andy" Anderson
The law of chastity is God's law govenrning sex and the appropreate use there of. It is a commandment from God that we obstain or don't participate in ANY sexual relationships outside the bonds of legal and lawful marige. It also has with it that we are not to participate in ANY homosexual realtionships, in masterbation, or pornography of any kind. It's not a new believe, in the Old Testament in the book of Leviticus in both chapters 18 and 20 it specifically states God's commands regarding sex. Show more Show less
