Hi I'm Megan

I love music and art. I am a wife and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I studied Art History and Piano Performance in college. I had the opportunity to study in Italy as an accompanist for opera singers, and have worked as a collaborative pianist at a fine arts college. I first met my husband backstage at a concert we were both performing in. We are both pianists and play stringed instruments. We love to perform together for family, friends, and the community. I am the mother of two beautiful children, a girl and a boy, and I hope some day that they will love and appreciate music as much as their parents do. Aside from music, I enjoy the outdoors. The places I have lived have provided so many wonderful scenes of nature such as the mountain ranges in Utah and Washington, the Puget Sound, Lake Michigan, and the Fingerlakes. I am grateful to have lived in such beautiful parts of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in a Father in Heaven who blesses me and watches over me and my family. I believe that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father through the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that when I put Jesus Christ at the center of my life and follow His teachings and example, my life is better: I'm happier, I'm grateful, I'm a better wife, a more patient and loving mother, and a kinder and more constant friend. I am comforted in the knowledge that I can live with my family forever, that relationships can be eternal, and that death does not end me.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a youth leader at church. The young women I work with are phenomenal and I am blessed to have the opportunity teach them what I know about our Savior as well as learn valuable lessons from them. They are young women who are eager to serve, develop talents, and make good choices despite the opposition they face at school, from peers, or at home. I enjoy expressing my love for the gospel through music. I believe music is a unique way to connect spiritually to our Heavenly Father as well as our Savior, Jesus Christ. Music is a language that can be deeply felt and I believe it can strengthen our relationship with God. Our family has a weekly tradition of watching "Music and the Spoken Word" by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Sunday mornings. My 3-year-old daughter looks forward to this program each Sunday and I look forward to the peaceful feeling it brings into our home.
