Hi I'm Tal

I enjoy the outdoors-camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, cooking and cycling. I'm an artist, an entrepreneur and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a father, I love family time and the elaborate plans for outings with my children, We love camping and water activities. Some of my favorite memories are snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico with the whole family, tasting the salty water, getting sunburned, encountering surprisingly big fish, and then being so tired you can hardly swim back to shore. I enjoy activities that leave us so exhausted you wake up feeling like you slept on a feather bed not the rocky ground. I wish we had more memories like these. I enjoy landscape painting from the moment I find myself in a surreal forest, through the process of trying to interpret that memory, to standing back and looking at the completed canvas. What a blessing to be able to work with my hands, whether with paint or wood-in the end the finished reward is worth the time spent.

Why I am a Mormon

It feels right, it feels true, it feels like I belong here. I can't imagine my life without the direction, guidance and peace that comes from being a member. Life is hard for everyone in different ways, however my faith and knowledge of who I am and who I want to be sustains me in these troubled moments. I don't want to live any other way than the way Christ has shown, the way back to my family, centered and grounded in my Saviors teachings.

How I live my faith

I find it always a challenge to balance the world we live in with the way we have been shown by Christ. The growth from our efforts is always surprising to me, I never get tired of prayer and scripture study-these are my foundation, they get me started each day and help me live my faith.
