Hi I'm Preston

I live in Utah and I'm a musician. Voice, guitar, piano, drums, and composition. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I live in a little town in Utah and graduated form highschool in 2010. Music is my life. I love to sing and play the piano, drums and guitar. I also enjoy writing and producing my own music. I am studdying as a music major in performance and education. I love the power of music and the effect in can have on people. I also deal with clynical deppression. I have had some rough times, but through the mercy of Christ and his gospel, I can come out feeling better. I served a full time, two year mission in the Birmingham Alabama Spanish speaking mission, in which case, I love the south and the people there. I also love the Spanish language. Other than that, I am single and love to hang with friends and family. I am looking forward to a future in teaching some sort of musical group, whether it's choir, band, or symphony, and having a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love this church and gospel! I was raised LDS but have not always had my heart in it. Just before my mission, I went through what was probably the hardest time in my life. Between my deppression and many doubts about the world, my testimony faltered considerably. I realised that much of my religious life was simply because my family did it. I came to the point that a mission was a possibility and that I needed to know what I was going to do with the rest of my life. Through much prayer, pondering, and confort and support from family and friends, God told me that a mission was where I needed to be. From that time until I left, and then till I returned home, I strove to strengthen my testimony each day and come back into Christ's arms from where I had strayed. I can testify to you, that without Christ and this gospel, I would be absolutely nothing. I love feeling the spirit and Christ's love and knowing that he has felt all that I have felt or will feel. He is my savior and through him, I will be able to be happy and live with my family forever in the life to come. I am apart of this Gospel because it is the Kingdom of God on the earth and I want to be apart of it.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is one of the most central importances in my life. I try, every day, to live my faith and stand for what I believe in everything I do. I make it a point to pray morning and night, and often throughout the day. I served a two year mission for my church also, which was one of the best times in my life. I try my best to share the gospel with all those I come in contact with. At the moment, I am not in any particular leadership possition in my church, but I have helped organize many youth group trips and activities. I love working with youth and helping them understand their divine potential as children of God. Sometimes, I also have the opportunity to teach the sundayschool classes during church.
