Hi I'm Melanie

As a child, I lived all over the world. I am a stay home mom of three beautiful children and love my work. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three very active little girls. I love to stay busy by cooking, camping, hiking, drawing, exploring new places, crafting anything, and spending time with my husband and children. I love the life and the world that has been created for us and enjoy filling it with as many memories and moments as possible. I love meeting new people and learning of their lives and experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I have gone to church on and off since as long as I can remember. I have always loved attending church but I was often perplexed at how different one congregation was from another and how much teachings within one congregation could vary from lesson to lesson. Because of this, I found that as a teenager I would wonder from one church to another. When I was in high school, a friend invited me to yet another church. I asked her what church she belonged to and it was the Mormon church. Curious and thinking what's one more church, I agreed. From the moment I stepped into the Mormon church I knew that this church was different. In every church I have attended there were truths and you could feel the spirit, but the biggest difference I have found in the Mormon church is that it's teachings are consistent. You can attend any Mormon congregation and you will find the same doctrine, the same truths. The teachings are the same through out the world. It has the plain and simple truths. It's people are unified, kind, and one with Christ. The spirit is like none I have ever felt before. Never have I been so over taken with the love of Christ as I have with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In churches I have attended in the past, I learned how to be christian. In the the Mormon church, I have learned to not only be a christian but also I am learning what it is to be like unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in the community and in my church. I love serving my friends, neighbors, and strangers. I love teaching my children of Christ. Creating a home that is Christ centered brings me joy. I enjoy my roles as a teacher, a friend, and a confidant. I have had opportunities to serve as a teacher and leader to the youth, a leader to the ladies, a local missionary, a service coordinator, an activities leader, and a building coordinator. All of my roles have brought me and those I have served with closer to Christ.
