Hi I'm Julie

I love basketball. I have 6 kids. I love all thing gardening and canning. I hate sewing. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I'm married and we have 6 amazing kids. I'm a college graduate but have chosen to stay home and raise my kids. I have a missionary in Oklahoma city! I love sports, the outdoors, cooking, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church and have known from a small child that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me, His daughter. There are plenty of reasons that this church is appealing. Our emphasis on forever families, the standards that we teach our youth to uphold, to name a couple. I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me the truthfulness of this gospel time and again. As I face life's trials I know I have a Father in Heaven who hears and answers my prayers. I know as I study the Book of Mormon that it is a true book and that many if not all answers to life's questions can be found within the pages take for instance the scripture on potty training in Alma chapter 7 verse 23 "...full of patience and long-suffering". I'm happy and know that as I continue to follow Christ I can return to live with Him someday! Men and women are that they might have JOY!

How I live my faith

I serve with another woman and we teach 10 4 year olds. I said 10, they are adorable and crazy and fun! I love my family, I love to help others I have a missionary serving in Oklahoma city who is working to bring others to a relationship with their Savior!

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Julie
One of the most amazing things about our faith is how equal men and women are. Never are women put down or made to feel inferior to men. We are taught from a young age that our roles are different but both equally important. Men hold the priesthood and administer it in our behalf so we have access to all those blessings. As a mother I know that my role is important. In the scriptures it says that we are to be "equally yoked". My husband is amazing he is so good to stand by my side and together we tackle the challenges that come with raising a houseful of kids. With 5 kids I certainly don't want to do it alone he is supportive of my desire to stay home and raise our kids but when he's home he is number one in my kids eyes and mine too! Show more Show less
