Hi I'm Kristin

I am from California. I am a huge sports fan, a personal trainer, a health specialist, and a designer. I am happy to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am from southern California, and I am a Junior in college. I love playing sports, running, rock climbing, and doing anything active. I studied exercise and wellness at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I am a personal trainer and a certified health specialist. I love helping people take control and take care of their bodies. I also love to design things. In my free time I draw fashion designs and interior designs. I am happy to be a Latter-Day Saint!

Why I am a Mormon

The feeling is indescribable. I know without a single doubt in my heart that God loves me. He loves all of his children. This is why he has given us living prophets today to proclaim his word. I can honestly say that I have never in my life felt truly alone or helpless. I have always been looked after. When I was really young, I was diagnosed with a complication that almost took my life. My life today is a miracle. I lost most of one of my kidneys. With emergency surgery at 7 months old, doctors were able to save all of one kidney, but only 30 percent of the other. They told my parents that it would never regain its functionality. They also said that children with my condition never grow to be very tall. I stand today at six feet tall, and my kidney is functioning at 70 percent. God does exist, and he loves me. He has a plan for me and I will live my life, my gift, in accordance with his will.

How I live my faith

In Matthew 5:16 it says, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven." I see this light as the joy I have in my life because I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I find ways to serve others and make sure everyone feels welcome and included. I look for opportunities to serve in my community. I try to share the happiness that we have found in the gospel, or the "good news", with others. It's so hard not to share something that makes me so happy! Life is difficult, and I believe that everyone deserves to be happy and feel the light and love of Christ! Even when I am having a hard time, I still look for opportunities to help others. My mom has always said, "when you're sad or feeling blue, do something for someone who is bluer that you." It's amazing how a small, Christ-like act can bring so much joy into your life as well as into the life of the person you are serving.
