Hi I'm Brian

I'm a happily married father of five grown children and three grandchildren. I am a covenant-keeping Christian - a Mormon.

About Me

Having lived in South America for 2 years I consider myself richly blessed to be an American. I feel spoiled by having been born and raised in Northern CA with its abundant opportunities for education, employment, and recreation. My wife and I have enjoyed 27 years of marriage and raised 5 children in the family-friendly city of Vacaville. No, I’m not wearing rose-colored glasses, we’ve struggled like all families to raise selfless individuals in a self-centered world. I enjoy playing basketball, cycling, and hunting for dead people (genealogy). About 10 years ago, I started my own consulting business building and managing project teams for enterprise technology projects.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I enjoy studying logical religious doctrine that knits together to reveal that God has a Plan of Happiness for his children, that’s not why I’m a Mormon. I’m a Mormon simply because I asked God if the Book of Mormon is true. I received an undeniable “YES!” through the power of the Holy Ghost. My personal revelation came to me when I took the time to seclude myself and sincerely ponder God’s promise to answer the prayers of his children. My answer from God not only revealed to me that the Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ, but also, and even more profound, is the fact that He knows me and is mindful of me. Over the years, as I have learned about God and how to love Him, I am forced to admit that He knew me and loved me first.

How I live my faith

Matthew 7:21 sums up my approach to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” As a small gesture of gratitude for the many blessings I have received, the only real gift that I can give God is my willingness to “do the will of my Father in Heaven”. I am currently ministering to the Spanish community in Vacaville and enjoy being able to help my Latin brothers and sisters come unto Christ.
