Hi I'm Emily
I'm a full time missionary, and I'm a Mormon.
I am currently serving as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am from Illinois, and have lived there my entire life. I have an older brother and a younger sister. Before serving a mission, I worked at an amusement park and went to college for 2 years.
I grew up as a member of the church. Both of my parents are converts and I am so greatful that they found the gospel when they were teenagers. For me though, being a member of the church isn't something I contuinue, just because its how I grew up. I am a member, because I have gained that personal testimony that the church is true. I came to a point in my life, where I had to just know if the things I had been taught my entire life were true or not. I "put it to the test" I guess you could say. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through, and I prayed. I prayed for an answer to know if the church was true. I recived and answer that it was. I know that God truly does love each of His children individually. He wants the best for us and He wants to guide us. I know that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth through a prophet of God, and that there is a living prophet on the earth today. I personally have recieved so much happiness by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am so happy to be a Mormon.
I try to live my life in a way that people would know that I believe in Jesus Christ. Currently as a missionary, I have the opportunity every day to teach people about our Savior and all that He has done for us. But even before serving a mission, I didn't have a problem with sharing what I believe in with my friends and my family. I know even more now of the importance of Jesus Christ in our lives and trying our best to follow Him. I am not afraid to share my testimony with anyone, and I will continue to do that even when I return home from serving a mission.
