Hi I'm Maria

I'm an aspiring Family Law Attorney, friend to all Dogs, Peruvian, Seamstress and a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Peru and moved to California when I turned 10. Later I moved to Hawaii to pursue higher education at BYU-Hawaii. I have a BA in Political Science and I hope to become a family law attorney so I can help those who are going through hard times. In my spare time I enjoy sewing, hanging out with my family and my two dogs and re watching all the Harry Potter movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who knows me personally and a Savior who died so that I can live with Him again someday. I first heard about the Church when two missionaries knocked on our door and started teaching my family about the Church and the Book of Mormon. It felt as if I had heard these principles before, it all made sense in my head. I knew that I had heard about these principles in my pre-earth life when I lived with Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because the spirit testified to me that day that the Gospel is something worth living. That the Book of Mormon is true and that this is the true Church of Christ on earth today. I am a Mormon because I know that I can have an eternal family if I live and follow the Gospel. I am a Mormon because I am not perfect, I make mistakes, but because Jesus Christ sacrificed himself I am able to be forgiven. I have a true testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has brought me so much happiness. I really don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by magnifying my callings, by keeping commandments and by taking advantage of the Lord's atonement as much as I can. I have learned that I am happiest when I follow the principles thought by the Lord and the scriptures. I strive to be a better, more obedient, and virtuous daughter of God.
