Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a mother, a wife, a programmer, and an wannabe blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to take life as it comes! I went from a single student to a wife, mom, full-time employee, graduated student in one year, and the changes just keep coming. I love spending time with my husband and son (doing things like eating, laughing, reading books, eating, laughing, and not doing the dishes) and am really good at putting off other chores to do so! Though tough, I've found motherhood to be extremely rewarding and am super grateful for the opportunity I have to be a mother. Aside from work, mothering, and [not] homemaking I like to blog (read read blogs), sing at the top of my lungs, and take poorly composed pictures of my son.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel brings me Joy. Real Joy. I wake up in the morning and don't have to think about whether or not I'm going to give in to the temptations that the world presents to me, I just try to do what the Lord commands. I'm a Mormon because I love the Lord. I know that I am a Daughter of my loving Heavenly Father. I know that He sent the greatest gift any Father could ever send, His Son - Jesus Christ - to walk this Earth as a man and suffer the sins and pains of all mankind. I know Jesus Christ defeated death and rose again. I know that He still lives. I know that because of Jesus Christ I can become as They are. This knowledge brings me Happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consistently doing my best to live the way the Lord would have me live. I attempt to read my scriptures daily and always keep a prayer in my heart - if you were in my head for a day you might be amazed at how often I silently ask the Lord for advice; He is my Confidant! Being a mother and teaching my son about his divine heritage (as a Son of God) is something I also attempt daily and is another way I live my faith. I want to live the commandments and be a Christlike example to for children. I also serve on a committee dedicated to supporting women. I visit women in my area monthly to develop friendships, see how I can help them in their trials, and share with them a message of love and hope to strengthen their faith and love in God and Christ.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

We believe that eternal life is living as God does now. To be eternal is not only to live forever, but to live forever in a glorified state. We can accomplish this by living God's will and heeding the counsel found in the scriptures as well as by listening and following a living prophet.  Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

It's true. Simple as that. People are happier when they have the truth, and so we see the Church grow. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

To gain a body and be proven faithful by living Gods laws so that we can become as God is. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Pray and read the Book of Mormon. The only way we can come to know who Heavenly Father is is by asking the source, Him. If you desire to know God, you must first put your faith in Him, and then He will show Himself to you through His words - the scriptures and prayer.  Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

A lot of fun! By making right choices and living the Gospel I get to avoid a lot of troubles that come with poor choices and my life is full of joy! Show more Show less
