Hi I'm Ellie.

I sew. I blog. I'm a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the mom to two happy girl and the wife to a really great guy. I taught first grade for a year before having my first daughter. I loved it, but love being a mom even more. I love running, playing the piano, sewing, baking, hiking, playing games, and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the knowledge I have of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the happiness I feel when I follow his example. I'm a Mormon because I have a testimony of eternal families and know that I can be with my family forever. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior lives and loves me. I know he sacrificed not only for mankind, but for me, so that I can repent and live again with my Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a Daughter of God and by living the gospel of Jesus Christ I can be happy.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ in my words, thoughts, and actions. Some days I am better at this than others. To me, living my faith is not just attending church on Sunday. My faith is a part of my everyday life and I try to keep my actions true to my beliefs.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We do regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and we know that it is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We study, read, teach, and learn from it in our homes and at church. We believe the prophets of the Old and New Testaments were true prophets of God and believe in their words and teachings. Show more Show less
