Hi I'm James

I'm a Latter Day Saint. aka Mormon

About Me

I am a father of two wonderful girls and husband to a wonderful wife. I Have many hobbies, I enjoy fishing, target shooting of all types, Camping, Survival and bushcraft skills. I also enjoy Gardening and getting into the outdoors. Disc Golf is fun summertime pastime that I try to play more and more as a type of fitness. Barbecue and fire pit cooking is how we cook on the weekends for friends and family. With all those Interests I also am taking classes for personal interest learning metal working skills for making jewelry.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint because I truly believe it is Jesus Christ's true church on earth today. The priesthood has been restored through him. I was born into the Church but became inactive for many years. After searching for the truth on my own personal journey I found out what I knew all along but refused to accept for some reason. That truth was that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the holder of the true gospel of Jesus Christ and is the true Church.

How I live my faith

My calling in the Church currently is to lead the Webelows Cub scouts and help these boys become young boy scouts as they grow up. I enjoy this calling greatly because I have lots of the boy scouts skills and enjoy helping these youth learn them as well in a fun, informative fashion. I also teach 11 year olds in Sunday School and 11 year old boy scouts. Anytime I have some free time I study the Bible, book of Mormon, and other scriptures and books of the Church. I listen to the scriptures every time I am in my car as well as read the scriptures daily with my family.

Are Mormons Christians?

In my humble opinion, Mormons are the ULTIMATE Christians!! The name of our Church say's it all "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints". We strive to follow all of the commandments of god the Father and Jesus Christ, obeying all of the Covenants we have been given through the Old and New Testament, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great price. Living a modest life style that the lord would appreciate if he were here. It is also important to note that I have never heard any of our church leaders of past and present speak ill wills about other Christian religions. They believe, as do I, that we are all children of God, brothers and sisters alike that should love one another. Show more Show less
