Hi I'm Maryellen
I'm a Mormon.
I am a full time wife and mother. Growing up I played a bunch of different sports but soccer was always my favorite. I played collegiate soccer for two years before I got married and decided to start a family. I recently graduated from college with a degree in Communication Disorders and I just had my second baby girl.
Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has filled my life with joy. I know I am a daughter of God. I know His plan for me and why I am here on Earth. It is so comforting to be able to pray to a loving Heavenly Father who I know is concerned with my life. I love that He has made a plan for me and my family so that we can always be together, even after this life.
In my last ward I was a family history consultant. I taught others the process of searching for and finding information about their families. This gave me the chance to learn more about my family and add more to my family tree. The ultimate goal of this class was to go to the temple with the names of family members we found that did not have their temple work completed and perform the temple ordinances in their behalf. This was a great way for me to feel connected with my family while doing a service for them that they could not do for themselves. I now teach the 3 and 4 year olds in my ward on Sundays. It's fun being able to teach them the basics of the gospel, like who created us and how we can be grateful for our bodies and how we can be kind to others.
