Hi I'm Jan
I'm a Mormon.
I am a grandmother who likes children and likes to do things with them. I have 6 children and 5 grand children. We like to get together often and play and visit together. I enjoy my extended family and the neices and nephews and their children. We keep in touch through a family reunion every two years. I also like to serve in church with a group of Primary children.
Why I am a Mormon
I have lived my whole life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has helped me through my 68 years of life. There have been many trials but I have found peace and happiness as I have tried to follow the example of the Savior. I testify that God lives and I am a daughter of God. He knows my name and answers my prayers. I find much joy when I am in His service.
How I live my faith
I serve in my church by teaching the children on Sundays about the Savior and about the scriptures. I work with other adults who are dedicated in teaching children also. The children are eager to learn and show how they can keep the commandments. My husband and I have been on a couple of missions for our church. We enjoyed working with each other to help young people to in learning about the Savior and to attend religious teaching classes in an early morning setting. We also have worked with addiction recovery programs. There we learned how the Savior loves and cares for all of His children. There is so much love and caring among those who attend and strive to overcome their addictions.
