Hi I'm Devyn

I am a wife to the greatest guy and mother of 5 fantastic kids with number 6 on the way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom with 5 young kids, working on number 6. I LOVE being a mom, it is the greatest thing in the world. I don't think there is anything in the world I love more than the sound of my children's laughter. I have the most loving husband that a girl could ask for. I LOVE being married, it is an amazing amount of work but more than worth it. Family life is everything to me, it is my focus. I have enjoyed being a preschool teacher and helping children learn to read. I love sports of all kind and enjoy competition. We love to be active as a family. We love to garden. I think learning to work is so important for children. We love camping and being outdoors. We are pretty plain, but oh so happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of how it makes me feel. I know without a doubt in my heart that this gospel is true. That the Book of Mormon is true. I believe in a loving Father in Heaven. I believe in His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that they did not leave us here alone. The Lord answers our prayers and speaks peace to our hearts. I know that my questions have been answered about this gospel, I feel it in every fiber of my being. I can not go back on that ever because there is no denying that I have received answers. I believe so strongly in that power of personal revelation. I think back to when I was struggling to know the truthfulness of this gospel and of the Book of Mormon, my heart was pure in my desire to know the truth. I was willing to turn my whole life over to the Lord if I could receive the answers I was looking for. I would be faithful if I just knew for sure. The answers did indeed come, maybe not all at once, but they did come. The Book of Mormon is true. This church is true. We have a true prophetof God on earth today. I am a daughter of God, He knows me and loves me. That conviction has given me confidence and security that has blessed my life immensely. The Lord can and will guide and direct me. I know who I am, I am a daughter of God. I am a Mormon because it feels so wonderful to know the truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my home first. I try to make my home a haven of goodness where the Savior is the center of our lives. We have family scripture and prayer together every day. We gather on Monday night for a spiritual message and lesson. All of these things help my family. We teach one another the gospel. Being a great parent is a huge responsibility, but infinitely important. I live my faith at church by being active and helpful. I teach the adult class in Sunday school. I study hard to prepare my lessons and teach gospel doctrine from the Bible and Book of Mormon. I prepare myself to be able to answer questions and help others when I can. I love going to church and learning about the gospel. I live my faith through service. There are so many opportunities in the church to serve those of our faith and those in our communities as well. We gather often as women in the church to do service for people all over the world. There is such a great feeling when you are able to help someone else. I love visiting other members in my area each month to share my testimony and build friendships. We try so hard to help take care of one another and make sure that everyone feels loved and appreciated. I love this part of our church. Everyone is important to the Lord and we have such a responsibility to make sure that everyone is cared for.
