Hi I'm Addie

I grew up in Las Vegas, but never gambled. I'm working on my Doctorate of Pharmacy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a twenty-something recently-married girl. I have just one older brother and we were pretty much raised by a stellar single mom. I got my Bachelor's in Chemistry and am currently working on my PharmD. That brought me out to Ohio where I met my husband, and being with him makes me feel like I'm living the dream. I like reading, baking, and watching movies. I ran a half-marathon which is probably one of my biggest accomplishments. I like banana splits and super rich chocolate cake. And I love to laugh so hard it hurts.

Why I am a Mormon

I technically grew up a member of this Church, but didn't really realize it until I was 12. My parents were both raised in this Church as well, but were never too diligent about going. When I discovered my faith it was like the world lit up around me. Being a Mormon gives me purpose in life, direction, and a deep sense of self-worth. It gives me an understanding of the purpose of life, of the love of God, and allows me to live each day with hope and not fear. It gives me confidence in my actions, it teaches me to the best me I can be. I'm a Mormon because the teachings of this gospel are true, they make sense, and they give me peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I hope I live my faith everyday. I try to live it in the big things and the small things. I think my friends can tell what I believe just by the way I dress and talk, by what kind of movies I watch and how I spend my free time. I try to think kindly of others and to serve them. I read my scriptures and say my prayers everyday. I go to church every Sunday and do my best to keep the Sabbath day holy. I know I still have a ways to go but imperfection is what makes life interesting. I have something to shoot for everyday, a chance to be a better person tomorrow than I was yesterday. I think that's the biggest way I live my faith, I never give up on myself or those I love.
