Hi I'm Kristi

Mom, Grandma, Blogger, Puppy-Raiser, Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my best friend for twenty-seven years and counting! We have been blessed through birth and adoption with five beautiful children, who are now young adults. We also are grandparents to two beautiful girls. I am a homemaker who enjoys many things--blogging, reading, playing the piano, and gardening, to name a few. I raise puppies to become guide dogs for the blind.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom joined the church when I was four years old, so I grew up learning the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned to pray, study the scriptures, and listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon today because I know that our Heavenly Father does have a plan of happiness for His children, and I can feel His influence in my life as I strive to follow the example of His son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

In the church, I have taught children, youth, and adults; have served in leadership positions; and have played the piano and the organ. My most important responsibility, though, is in my family. Working in partnership with my husband, we hold Family Home Evenings, read scriptures, and pray together as a family. We want our home to be a place of peace, joy, and love, and living the gospel of Jesus Christ helps us achieve that goal.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

As we study the scriptures, pray, and serve others, we can recognize the Lord's hand in our lives, and also in the lives of others. We can know that we are His children, and He loves us. Show more Show less
