Hi I'm Jenna

I'm a musician. I love apples. I've bungie jumped off a crane in Ukraine. I believe in miracles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jenna. It means 'small bird' in some foreign language. I like to think it means 'humming bird' because they are my favorite. Despite scientists saying that humming birds should be impossible, thet exist, and are fantastic. I believe in doing the impossible. :) I am a little crazy. I went bungie jumping on a whim while I was working as an English teacher in the Ukraine. I figured that, if I can bungie jump, I can do anything, right? I grew up as the second of five siblings. I love love love my family to pieces. They have stuck with me through thick and thin and mean everything to me. I look forward so much to starting my own family someday and becoming a wife and mother. I also have dreams to become a professional violinist and artist.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. However, just like everyone else, I had to gain a testimony for myself. Something my parents really taught me was how to live by true principals. Obedience to God's principles=blessings. I've always been super independant but even when I pulled away from my parents as a teenager, I could never doubt the truth of the gospel. I feel like there is a light inside me that just flourishes within the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Sometimes I wish I had some wonderful story or explainable proof that what I believe is true. But I just know it. It is rooted deep inside me. I guess growing up I believed it, proved it over and over again, and simply cannot deny it. It is a part of who I am. It shapes my goals and dreams. It frames my vision and my hopes. It has brought me peace. I just love this church because amidst a world of ever-changing values, it's values always stay the same. It focuses on the family and on saving the home. It focuses on loving our neighbor. It teaches us how to become good people. It teaches that we don't have to hold onto our mistakes forever. It teaches us that we are more then mere mortals wandering around aimlessly on this little planet. It teaches us that we have purpose infinite value. It shows us how can be with those we love forever. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full time missionary. :)
