Hi I'm Michelle Alison

I Iove being Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student. I love being with friends. My favorite subject is chemistry, favorite color = purple. I love running through the forest, babysitting children, and having spontaneous dance parties. I love my family and hanging out with my sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I realized that the happiest people, the kind of people that you just feel so good being around, the kind of people I wanted to be like had strong moral values and a strong faith in God. I wanted that for myself and I've found it through reading the Book of Mormon and other scriptures, praying to our Father in Heaven, and trying to align my life with the teachings our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the church. I've taken some time off school to be able to go out and help other people strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ and understand his gospel.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Michelle Alison
It's truth. I couldn't attribute anything else. When I share a lesson with someone, I'll be the first to tell you, I am not the most gifted with words or charismatic. However, whenever, without fail, we meet with someone that earnestly cares to follow Jesus Christ and to know the truth, the Holy Spirit is there, and they can feel it, and we can feel it too. They might not know what that feeling is right away, but it is a feeling of peace and goodness so sweet you want it to stay forever and don't want to do anything that would chase it away. Simply put, my/their motivation to follow Jesus Christ increases manifold. I know people have felt that feeling in other spiritual experiences they've had, and when they learn to recognize the spirit testifying to them of truth, they are converted and they know it is true, so they tell their friends. It's the greatest news on earth. Jesus Christ LIVES and still speaks today, and still has plans for our lives-- we want everyone to know.  Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Michelle Alison
AWESOME! and I'm not just saying that. I know that the Savior's teachings work. That he is really there. That he hears and answers my prayers and that he is involved in my life. I never have to feel alone - although I'll admit sometimes I do when I forget- but when I remember, it gives me strength and carries me through even the hardest of times.  Show more Show less
