Hi I'm Jessica

I live in Missouri and I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working on my masters of accountancy. I absolutely love listening to and playing music! I play the French horn and some piano. I also enjoy reading books and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God to know that it is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes so much sense! God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The values I have been encouraged to uphold define who I am. Living the gospel makes me happy and ready to meet the challenges of the upcoming day with a positive attitude.

How I live my faith

In the summer of 2011, I had the opportunity to serve a church mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. I played in the Nauvoo Brass Band. I was able to share my joy of Christ with people who came to visit through music. Currently, I am a Young Single Adult Representative and I help to plan activities that bring young single adults from the region together to meet each other, socialize, and strengthen our faith.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is what an individual personally believes to be true. This comes through prayer to God and study of the scriptures. The truth of the things one learns is confirmed by a spiritual witness given by the Holy Ghost. The basis of a testimony includes that we have a Heavenly Father who lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He lives; that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, called to restore Christ's church to the earth; that the Book of Mormon is the word of God; and that we have a living prophet today who leads and guides the church according to God's will.
