Hi I'm Juliana

I'm from Brazil. I love to read books and write my own stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Brazil. I was born and raised there. When I was 18 years old I decided to come to the United States to go to school. I'm an English Major and I'm on my Junior year as an undergrad student. I love reading good books, watching engaging movies and learning languages, and history, and culture. However, I've put school on hold for a while and I'm currently serving as full time missionary for the church in Boston, MA.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this is the only true church of Jesus Christ in the world today. I know that this is the same church established by Jesus Christ when He was on the Earth and that Joseph Smith, through the power of God, restored it in our days. I know we have a prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who speaks with God face to face and gives us guidance from our Heavenly Father. I also know that we have 12 apostles just as in the times of Jesus who help the prophet take care of the church. We are the only church that has the priesthood, or the authority to act in God's name, and so we are the only church authorized to perform saving ordinances such as baptism and conferring the gift of the Holy Ghost. I'm a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet. He did see God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I felt in my heart the Spirit of God confirm to me that these things are true. I'm a Mormon because I've read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is also the word of God, another testament of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith translated the book into English by the gift and power of God. Because I know all these things and because I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and who wants me back with Him someday I have the assurance that this is the only church that can help me get there.

How I live my faith

Right now I serve as a full time missionary. I tell people of the good news this gospel is and I help all of those who want to come closer to Christ to develop faith in Him, repent of their sins, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I share with those around me the things I learn in the church and how it has blessed my life to be a part of it. I'm there to guide them and uplift them in any way that I can. I also do a lot of service and volunteer work for members of the church, non-members and also institutions such as food pantries and libraries. My work is not paid by the church, I pay my own way. It's so rewarding to be able to do this right now and just dedicate my life to serving others and helping them find the path back to their Father in Heaven through our Savior Jesus Christ.
