Hi I'm Samantha

I study math. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Chicago and I am a math major. Growing up I lived in New York, Taiwan, and Denmark, and had lots of opportunities to travel. I played on my high school basketball team in Denmark and ran my first half-marathon last year.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. When I live by the teachings of the church in reading my scriptures, going to church, and saying my prayers I find the greatest happiness. The Book of Mormon has brought a lot of peace in my life and brought me closer to my Savior. I know that we have a living prophet today and that he speaks the word of God for me. Whenever I hear the prophet speak I can feel that he is inspired. Being a Mormon has helped me to better understand my purpose and what will happen to me after I die. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He has a plan for me.

How I live my faith

Growing up I was always taught that I needed to read my scriptures, go to church, and say my prayers. It doesn’t sound very exciting, but my testimony of doing the simple things in life has increased as I’ve prepared myself to serve a mission and in being a missionary. I look forward to my personal study time because I get to receive revelation for myself through the scriptures. I love going to church and remembering the sacrifice that my Savior has made for me. Prayer has helped me to understand God’s will for me. Doing these three simple things has helped me grow closer to my Savior bit by bit and they teach me what I need to do to return to live with my Heavenly Father.
