Hi I'm Jeromy

I grew up running around Salt Lake City. I'm planning to study psychology and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Reading, Running, Camping, Biking, Hiking, Gaming, Computers and listening to music is what I love to do. My favorite reads are science fiction and fantasy, though I'm not really into any new books. The classics only interest me. For any new story I usually turn to games. I've worked with computers ever since my dad sat me in his lap as he worked on his. Its been useful as people have many issues with their computers. When I'm not sitting at home playing games or reading I'll be out with friends or family camping and doing awesome outdoor adventures. My favorite place to camp is Moab, Utah. Great scenery and challenging trails for biking and hiking. Running was a pretty big part of my life during high school. Cross Country mainly. I ran a full marathon after I graduated and I plan to do another one in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

The Restored Gospel is the only thing that makes everything in my life make sense. Why do I need education? Because knowledge is a key attribute God wants me to develop. Why is life hard so often? So I can prove to myself I can master my life. The answers come from the basic worship of Prayer, Scripture study and participating at Church. The influence of God in my life is felt through the Holy Ghost's promptings. They're felt as peaceful impressions. Noticing these things is what lets me know God is involved.

How I live my faith

I serve as a Cub Scout Den Leader for the Wolf Den or the 8 year olds. They're a lively bunch of course but that's good when we play sports and do service projects. They have the energy to have fun with everything! The Gospel is about joy! On Sundays after Church we gather at a youth leader's home to learn how to be effective teachers and prepare to be missionaries. We teach eachother all the time. Going to the temple is a very big way I show my faith. The temple is a place to learn things from Heavenly Father himself through the Holy Ghost. I try to go with a question in mind and as I ponder it the Spirit gives me answers in my mind. These answers bring more peace and happiness to me.

What is faith?

Faith is acting upon what you believe. Doing things because you hope for a certain outcome to occur because of your actions. I have faith that the microwave will heat up my food but I have to start it before it can do anything. I have faith that I can be with my family forever so I'll do all the commandments our Church has given to make sure I am together with them forever. Action precedes the miracle. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Read His words and ponder how they can influence or have influenced your life. This brings to memory experiences that are like a light turning on to show us He has worked with us and will work with us now. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe he is the Son of God and was directed to create the earth, redeem us from death, and take upon himself all our sins, sicknesses and trials so we can return to our Heavenly Father and inherit all He has. He is our elder brother in the spirit. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Its for all of God's children! Where does a person start existing in this world? From a man and a woman. If we want good, honorable people filling the world then it needs to start with a mom and dad raising their children to become them. Even beyond that is our Heavenly Father who is very eager to assist families to overcome the challenges in life and reach our greatest desires. Show more Show less
