Hi I'm Joel Brown

I'm a student, teacher, musician, lover of fine foods, and I'm a MORMON.

About Me

I love music. I love movies. I love good food. I love meeting interesting people and I aspire to become an interesting person as well. I am studying accounting at BYU. After graduation, I hope to work in the field of microfinance. I want to change a lot of lives for the better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old. It was the best choice I ever made. The 2nd best choice I made was to donate 2 years of my life as a missionary in Nashville, Tennessee. Through diligent study and prayer, I have learned for myself that this church is the same Church Jesus Christ established. I will never leave this church, because I know the only way to find true happiness is by following Christ through this church. I am a Mormon because it makes me so happy, and it helps me to live to my potential. The church pushes me to become what God wants me to become.

How I live my faith

In 2009-2011 I served my church as a full-time missionary. I learned a lot during those two years about myself and others. I live my faith by communicating with God through prayer and study of the scriptures. I live my faith by trying to help and uplift others. I also serve in my church as a clerk. I help see that members of our congregation have their spiritual and physical needs met.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Joel Brown
YES!!!!! Our families existed before this life, and God wants us to be together for ever! Through the restored priesthood, and after baptism and confirmation in the church, a family or couple and prepare to be "sealed" together for all time and eternity. Unlike a marraige that lasts until death, this marraige and family unity will be forever preserved for all time and eternity. This is the greatest blessing God can give us, and it is only available through obedience to his commandments. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Joel Brown
The Book of Mormon was written by men called and inspired of God on the American continent. It starts around 600 B.C. and ends around 400 A.D. The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ. It was written FOR US. I love this book so much. It has changed me, and it is the foundation of my testimony of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The Mormon missionaries will tell you everthing you need to know in order to understand who you are, where you come from, and where you are going. They will help you find more peace and happiness in your life. They will guide you through the steps of faith, repentance, baptism, and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost. The missionaries will answer your questions. And they'll also ask you to do stuff, like read and pray. By doing this things you'll find yourself closer to your Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
