Hi I'm Thomas

I love motocross and I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in Utah! Being from a state known for it's huge canyons, miles and miles of slick rock, raging rapids, and perfect snow I gained a respect and love for God and all His creations. It was such a blessing to be raised surrounded by such awesome terrain and beauty. I really enjoy doing anything I can outside. Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, boating, snowboarding, snowmobiling, skydiving, you name it I love it! At the very top of my list is riding bikes. Not the pedal bikes, not the big ole Harleys, but the infamous dirt bike! After years of moaning and begging, my parents finally broke down and gave into my teenage desires! I love to listen to music. I am not picky at all. Country? Sure! Why not!?! Rock? Yep, I like that too. Alternative? You betcha! If it has a good lyrics and I can tap my toe to it, it's a go. Overall, I am an average 23 year old kid.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but there comes a time when every person, raised in the church or not, will have to take their stand and choose to accept this gospel and live it or meander along the sidelines. For me it came in large part when I recieved a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the reality of the Apostacy and Restoration. Yes, I know, alot of people say that's why they're a Mormon, but the reason they say that is because it really works! If you know there was an Apostacy, you see the need for the Restoration. If the Book of Mormon is true, Jospeh Smith would have had to have been the prophet of the restoration. I know those things to be true but today the reason I am a Mormon is simply because I have seen the positive differences in my lifestyle this gospel brings. I have had the privielge of leaving my family and friends to go a different part of the nation for one purpose and one purpose only, to bring people closer to Christ. This gospel changes lives! No one will ever convince me otherwise. I have seen it first hand. The contrast in peace, love, happiness, joy, spirituality, and family unity is absolutely remarkable. The gospel blesses families, and it will bless you personally as well. It is not something to be read about or simply thought about. These blessings are not something you can comprehend just by investigating. Learn it. Try it. Live it, and you will love it. I did.

How I live my faith

On a daily basis I receive correction, instruction, and inspiration on how I need to change and improve. God wants us all to be the best people we can possibly be. There is no "cookie cutter" way to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are all imperfect. Everyone will make mistakes. We won't remember everything we learn. We will need reminders all the time! It is so easy to get overwhelmed when you are trying to live a Christ-like life but our loving Heavenly Father has given us ways to keep our heads above water. We have been given His Son, Jesus Christ. He died to offer all of us the opprotunity to repent when we mess up. He can take away all of our sin but that does not mean He expects nothing from us. We need to work at it. We need to change and improve. That is the purpose of His gift. For me, I repent all the time. Whenever I know I have made a mistake, whenever one of my leaders offers correction, whenever I learn of a wrong activity or thought by reading the scriptures I make the necessary change. I re-commit to my Father in heaven and promise to do better. Each Sunday at church I renew my baptismal covenant by partaking of the sacrament. God wants me to improve. All I need to do is try my hardest and I feel him there helping each and every time! I try to always remember Jesus Christ and what he did for me. This provides motivation to change.
