Hi I'm Larry

I grew up in Murray, Utah. I served as a missionary in the Spanish-American mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired person. I am a father of 5 children with 16 grandchildren. I served a 2 1/2 year mission in the Spanish American mission located in Texas and New Mexico. I enjoy fishing and teaching others how to be successful fishermen. I worked 37 years in the banking and finance industry. My purpose in life is to serve others when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) and was baptised a member when I was eight years old. I did not, however, gain a true testimony of the gospel until received and accepted a call to serve as missionary for my church. There through a lot of prayer, studying the scriptures, and teaching the gospel to others I gained a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Church. I know that God lives and answers our prayers. I know that Jesus is the Christ the Saviour and Redeemer of the world. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored the authority of God to perform the ordinances necessary gain salvation and eternal life. My testimony of the gospel is the most important possession that I have on this earth. It helps guide me over the rough spots in life and gives me hope to face the future with confidence.

How I live my faith

I have been active in politics most of my life and served two terms as a county chairman for my political party. I was active many years in the Scouting program, serving as a Scout Master and a District Chairman. My wife and I served in the Utah Salt Lake City South mission from 12/2009 to 2/2011. We presently teach the 7 year olds in our Ward. We also serve in the Draper, Utah temple. One of the joys I have in my life is visiting members of our Ward each month as a Home Teacher. This activity has brought me a lot of happiness and joy throughout my life. I worked many years with the youth of my church a service that brought to my home many blessings and much happiness.
