Hi I'm Carly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sty at home mom to one beautiful son. I work as a nurse, and have a bachelors degree in nursing. I love being outdoors, and sharing time with my family. I also love to do yoga, run, and read novels in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the values and principles of the mormon church give me peace and happiness in this life. As I listen to the teachers and leaders I know in my heart what they are saying is true, and when I try to live the commandment in my life I feel joy in my soul. I know as a mother that these teachings will help me to raise good honest children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday through prayer and scripture study. I also attend church weekly, and participate in a monthly fast. I teach a lesson for the women in my church once a month. Visiting teaching is also another great way to live my faith. This is when women in the ward visit each other in their homes once a month and discuss topics of the church, or just listen and try to help each other with their challenges in life.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Carly
Mormon women deal with a lot of the same problems ather women do. How am I going to raise my children to be good people? How can I find happiness in this world? or What am I going to wear today? These are common question we women all ask ourselves, but Mormon women might have a different answer based on the teaching of our church. We dress modestly because we believe we should respect our bodies. We find happiness through prayer, scripture study, and attending church, and we raise our children to be good people by teaching them principles which they learn in the home and through various youth groups. I can't speak for all mormon women, but I do not feel oppressed. I have always been treated as a equal in the church. In the mormon church we feel men and women are equal we jut have different responibilities. Women get the greatest calling, motherhood, and men lead and instruct their family through their priesthood. Show more Show less
