Hi I'm Manuel

I love my family, I love my Father in Heaven and I try to serve Him to the best of my ability. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Besides, my family, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my two passions are emergency preparedness and family history. Of course, all my passions in life would not have come about if I was not a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth I started to question the faith I had grown up with. I had questions about my purpose in life. This is probably a typical question for many in their teenage years. In college I had the liberty to investigate other faiths and found all of the churches I investigated lacking in what I was looking for. Back in the early 70's, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would advertise in the Reader's Digest by publishing a multiple page Book of Mormon story. I would read these stories but did not associate them as a religious message. Later on, a co-worker started to conducted a "Bible" study class before work which I accidently stumbled into. I recognized some of the names, places and events discussed, howver, I could not find any of them in my Bible at home. One day I asked my co-worker what Church she belonged to. When she answered that she was a Mormon and that she belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I remembered the stories in the Reader's Digest. After investigating the Church, studying the scriptures, and praying about it, I received my answer that I needed to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides you ample opportunity to be service to our Heavenly Father by serving his children. As I mentioned earlier, two of my passions are emergency preparedness and family history genealogy. As members of the Mormon Church, we are taught to be prepared, not only Spiritually but also for any eventuality that my may come. Because of my passion in preparedness I try to help others out in also being prepared. We Mormons believe that family is of utmost importance and knowing who we are and where we came from. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides members and non-members alike the opportunity to research their family history. I continue to research my family history and I strive to provide them the opportunity to one day live together with our Father in Heaven.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Manuel
I, without a doubt, believe that we are children of our Father in Heaven and His love for us is without end. He wants all of His children to one day return home. Our families here on earth are a means of preparing ourselves to one day live with our Heavenly Father and Mother. This promise is not only for our immediate family but also to our decendents.
