Hi I'm Ammon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, jogging, and doing outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hiking. I work for a medical supply company delivering liquid oxygen to homes. I'm also trying to go to school part time to obtain a bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bring me peace and give me a purpose for being on earth. The teachings help me to know who I am, why I'm here on earth, and where I'm going after I die. They help me know how I can be with my family forever and live with God once more. These teachings help me to be happy and to be a better husband, father and citizen. They teach me how to come to Christ and enjoy the blessing of Christs atonment.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily following the principles that Jesus Christ has taught through his prophets such as serving others. I am a Sunday school teacher of 10-11 year old boys and an assistant scout leader. I'm a home teacher for two families in our congregation--at their home, I share a spriritual message each month and make sure the basic needs of the family are met. I try to be a good neighbor by helping out those who are in need. At work, I go the extra mile by doing small acts of service for my customers such as bringing them their mail/news paper, picking up something they can't reach, or shoveling snow off a portion of the driveway. At home I share house chores with my wife doing dishes, preparing meals, doing the laundry, shopping and changing diapers.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes--we worship Jesus Christ as our Savior. Jesus Christ is the leader of this church which is directed by a living prophet who bares testimony of Him and his teachings. We beliveve in the priesthood--the power and authority of Jesus Christ. When we are baptised we make a promise to pattern our lives after Christ. On Sunday, we worship Him at church by partaking of the sacrament--bread and water that is blessed to serve as symbols or reminders of his body and blood that was shed for us for an atonment-this sacrament is a renewal of our baptismal promises. We also sing and listen to music that bares testimony of Him and his gospel. Our lessons teach us about his gospel plan. Our temples are symbols of the resurrected Jesus Christ. We pray to Heavely Father and Jesus Christ. We study the words of Christ in the Holy Bible and in The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
