Hi I'm Hoyt Robey

I'm a Mormon Man. My wife reminds me to strive to set a good example because others may judge our faith by my actions.

About Me

I love my wife, my kids, my extended family, my church family and being outdoors riding my bike. Last year I rode my bike with our oldest son from Salt Lake City to the Grand Canyon for his senior trip.

Why I am a Mormon

My folks joined the church after observing my Dad's co-worker and how happy he was all the time. They were not looking for a religion, but had so much respect for Norm that they accepted the invitation to listen to the missionaries. They wanted to listen to be polite, then get ride of them. After a few lessons they felt the spirit and knew the message was true. As a young man I also prayed for confirmation that Christ's church had been restored to the earth and that God really loved me. I received that witness and it has been a guiding light all my life since then. The only true and lasting peace that I have found was in worshipping our Heaven Father through his son Jesus Christ. Most often that peace and happiness has been found in serving others.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the Men's organization as a leader. Leadership, I have found, really means loving and serving others. Each month I have the chance to visit members of our congregation and see how they are doing and what we can do to help. My family is also visited every month by another congregation member checking on our needs. To me, the gospel of Jesus Christ means doing our best to look after each other and strengthening one another, especially in times of need. How nice it is to know others care about me and I have someone else to look after. I truly believe that is what the Master was trying to teach us.
